DAY 1: DENPASAR - UBUD

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar where you will be greeted by your local guide and your private transfer will take you to the town of Ubud (35 km/70 min) located in the island’s center. Ubud is the heart of the island and center of art and culture of Bali. Check in at your hotel and adjust yourself to the new environment. At the end of the afternoon visit through Petulu (10 km/ 15 min), village fame as the home of white herons, they nest along the road throughout the village. With the nebulous sunset at the distance; it is an enticing afternoon atmosphere at the heart of Ubud. Back to hotel and overnight at Ubud.

DAY 2: UBUD

In the morning after breakfast at your hotel, start the day with a “green” sustainable tourism excursion at Taman Sari Buwana farm. During this half-day excursion you will experience local Balinese life while supporting a community-based tourism project in the village of Tunjunk (35 km/40 min). Upon reaching Tunjunk village, we start with a visit to the elementary school (NOTE: closed on weekends and school holidays) before heading to village home base. Prepare for farming activities by donning a farmer’s hat, covering up with mosquito repellent and picking up a local mattock (small farm tool) all provided by the farm. We recommend wearing flip-flops or similar as well as bringing sunscreen. You will then walk with the local farmers to their rice fields, locally referred to as sawah. Alongside the farmers, you will learn how to plant, transplant or harvest rice (depending on the season).

After farming, take a walk around the beautiful rice fields to observe the daily activities of the village. You will visit other plantations including a coconut plantation where locals will demonstrate their ability to climb up the trees and gather young coconuts for some refreshment. Next, return to the home base where you will observe the boiling of cassava in the traditional kitchen before enjoying a delicious lunch at the farm. Next, we are heading to Tanah Lot (25km/35 min). One of the most famous temples in Bali set dramatically on a small rock about 100 m off the coast. When the weather permits Tanah lot will offer you an exquisite sunset and leaves the temple just a silhouette. In the evening we drive back to Ubud (32 km/55 min).

DAY 3: UBUD

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel our professional tour guide will collect you from your hotel and then take you through the scenic back roads of Carangsari village. Here you can see how the Balinese farmers live, a real cultural experience. Upon arrival at the cycling starting point (24 km/35 min), the cycling special guides will conduct a safety briefing. They will describe the route to follow and they will take time to demonstrate how to use the bike’s gears and brakes. They will also give each of the participants a pair of gloves and a fitting helmet.

Then set off for a 2 hour cycling adventure! You will cover approximately 17 kilometers. There will be several stops along the way. Cruise along untouched rice terraces sceneries and through villages dotted with traditional houses and temples. Stop to meet friendly locals, take photos of breathtakingly beautiful spots and learn about the local culture. Pass through Sangeh, the monkey forest where you will meet the cheeky inhabitants. You will even have the opportunity to feed them! We have a lunch break at a local eatery while your eyes are pampered by the sight of a lush tropical garden. Next, we continue to the chocolate factory where you will see, feel, smell and taste the transformation of organic Balinese cocoa pods. You will learn all about organic farming and you will follow the cocoa pod on its journey from flower to fruit and then to its harvest. You may want to taste fresh cocoa beans straight from the pod and witness the fermenting and drying process. Finally, you will have a chance to taste freshly roasted cocoa nibs. Craft your own chocolate in the taste of your choice. We will supply a selection of different toppings so that you can create a unique and delicious chocolate.

DAY 4: UBUD - MUNDUK

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning we visit Taman Ayun (16 km/25 min), also known as the Royal Family Temple. The temple dates back to the Mengwi Kingdom in 1634. Continue heading north through a small wreck road to reach Jatiliuih village (32 km/ 55 min). A long the way your eyes are pampered with alluring scenery. Upon arrival at Jatiluih it is the highlight, a spacious fascinated rice terrace in Bali. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant facing the rice terrace. Afterward we drive in direction to the famous Ulun Danu Temple which sits on a small island on the far shores of the lake (25 km/45 min) Continue north, turning off the main road to a small mountain road overlooking the twin lakes, Buyan and Tamblingan. Stop for photos and enjoy the scenery before descending to the beautiful remote area of Munduk.

DAY 5: MUNDUK

Early in the morning you will have a chance to explore Munduk with a light trek (6 km/120 min), heading back to the twin lakes Buyan and Tamblingan where you began your short trek through the rain forest (90 min). Walking through the narrow path will take you to the rim of the lake path passing many interesting and useful plantation, explore the heritage of Balinese medicine plants. Upon arrival at the lakeside, a traditional wooden boat await for you to continue to the next adventure crossing the two lakes heading to the temple at the other side of the lake. This trip will take approximately 40 minutes accompanied by your local guide. We drive back to Munduk to your hotel for a refreshing shower and savoring our lunch (6 km/12 min). The remainder of the day is free at leisure.

DAY 6: MUNDUK - LOVINA

After breakfast at the hotel we drive to north of Bali, first stop will be made at Brahma Arama Vihara Buddhist monastery (19 km/35 min), located just about 5 km from Lovina. The temple is painted with colorful decorative, with a very bright orange roof with some Buddha statue completed with Balinese carving touches, overlooking Lovina beach at a peaceful surrounding.

Then we continue to Sangsit village (31 km/40 min), to visit a Children foundation or we called it Yayasan Anak, the main sponsor of this foundation is a French couple which already involve for so many years to improve the education of the poor people in the rural village. The foundation is located a bit in the remote area, an old Balinese rural village of Sangsit in the middle of the rice field. In the afternoon, after school time the children’s of the foundation usually have some learning activity, conduct by some volunteer such as an English lesson etc.

Afterwards we drive back to Lovina (18km/20 min), enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the beach and then we check in at our hotel for the night. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

DAY 7: LOVINA

Awake at dawn and take a traditional outrigger boat out to the sea to try and spot the dolphins. The journey lasts 60 – 90 minutes and afterwards we return to the hotel for breakfast. You have breakfast at the hotel and rest of the day free at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities or just lying down by the pool to read your favorite book or explore on your own.

DAY 8: LOVINA - SANUR

After breakfast in the hotel we leave the hotel at 10 am for direction of Kintamani (64 km/100 min): the highlight of the day and enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the still active volcano . Lunch will be served at a panoramic restaurant facing to the beautiful panorama of Mt and Lake Batur. In the afternoon, continue to Penglipuran (14 km/22 min), a traditional countryside village well known for its typical Balinese entrance gates and unique architectural traditions. Afterwards we drive directly to Sanur (45 km/55 min), check in at our hotel and then you will be free at leisure.

DAY 9: SANUR

You have the day free at leisure. There are optional tours to choose from if you like.

OPTION 1: A Day with Animal (Rhino Package USD 145 per person): Transfer to The Bali Safari and Marine Park, A family park that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Located in Gianyar, the park covers 40 hectares of land that is beautifully landscaped with many parks and gardens.The park offers amazing educational trips in which conservation of endangered animal species receives most attention. Visit the elephant village, observe the endangered Komodo dragon, partake in a safari exploration, stroll around the compounds of a replica Indian fort and see the endangered white tiger, or have fun at one of the attractions in the “fun zone”. The park is also home to a dolphin show and freshwater aquarium, which have recently been added. Enjoy a full day out in the park that surely will keep both young and adults entertained for hours. Lunch is included in the park. Transfer back to your hotel in Ubud and have the rest of the day free at leisure.

OPTION 2: Sails Sensation (USD 99 per person): This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel around 9 am and we drive you to the Benoa harbor. Arrive at the harbor where your luxurious boat awaits. You will set sail for the voyage to Lembongan Island, which will take sixty to ninety minutes depending on currents and wind. You will arrive on Nusa Lembongan, an island oasis of white beaches and clear waters. The day is yours to spend as you wish. For water-sports lovers there are activities such as snorkeling, a glass-bottom boat ride, reef viewing and banana boat rides (included). Options (supplemental charge) include: Scuba Diving, Massage, Marine walk and the highly recommended ‘mangrove tour’ to the island’s villages for a glimpse into the local lifestyles of the fishermen. A buffet lunch will be served Midday. Around 4 pm the boat will depart for the journey back to Benoa harbor. When reaching the shore, you will be brought back to your hotel.

DAY 10: SANUR - DENPASAR

In the morning after breakfast you meet with your local guide and then we bring you to Denpasar International Airport (17km/25 min) for your departure flight.
