In the early morning, enjoy a 2-hours drive from Hue to Bach Ma National Park – was known as one of the bio-diversity centers of Indochina. With 22,031ha, steep mountains and dense forests, this area is the home to a wide variety of animals and plants. At the base of the mountains, there is the tropical monsoon forest whilst above 900m the forest is sub-tropical. Meet the local forest expert who has had a strong attachment to Bach Ma area for more than 20 years. A 3-hours trek with him along trails through sub-tropical forest will take you to the magnificent Ngu Ho Lake and Do Quyen waterfall. The Ngu Ho or Five-lakes Cascade is a series of small waterfalls which crash down into pristine pools of clear water secluded under a canopy of foliage. After your picnic lunch, reach the summit which is 1,450m above the sea level and from here you can enjoy a magnificent view over Tam Giang lagoon and Lang Co beach. Our trek ends at the small orchid collection house then trek down for a drive back to Hue.
